Academy of San Francisco was founded in 1969 becoming the first Orthodox
day school in the Bay Area.

year 170 students are enrolled in the school.

Rabbi
Lipner, the school's dean, is the recipient of numerous awards, among
them: Jerusalem Prize, awarded for Torah education in the Diaspora and
presented by the President of Israel, and the Minister of Education
Prize, for excellence in Jewish leadership in the Diaspora, awarded
by the Israeli Minister of Education.
The
Hebrew Academy's highly regarded drama program regularly attracts large
community audiences.
