Hebrew Academy Alumnus Offered Full Scholarship to Mayo Medical School

Nelly Boykov

Nelli Boykoff, a 2002 graduate of Lisa Kampner Hebrew Academy, was recently offered a full scholarship to attend Mayo Medical School, a world renowned leader in healthcare and medical education.

In the letter from Mayo's admissions committee, Boykoff was awarded the Dean's Outstanding Achievement Scholarship and was commended for her "exceptional qualifications." Mayo Medical selects candidates from their tremendous pool of applicants based upon "academic preparation, self-discipline, and a commitment to service."

She was a senior at University of California, Los Angeles, Boykoff is pursuing applications to numerous medical schools and already has several to choose from. "I guess we will have to just wait and see."

Boykoff attended Hebrew Academy for 12 years and credits much of her success to the education she received so close to her home in San Francisco's Richmond District. "It was my home for 12 years and I have very fond memories of the school, faculty, and students."

Today, Nelli is a resident in Stanford University
